From 317 A-team games to a new role on our service team—we are very pleased to welcome Christer Kolnes Håland to Håland Instrumentering as a service technician.
Christer Kolnes Håland most recently worked at Gymo and has extensive experience in Norwegian industry. He has previously worked in sales at both Maximator and TESS, as a work scheduler at Fabricom, and as an industrial pipefitter at the same company.
This gives him a valuable combination of practical experience, technical knowledge, planning skills, and customer interaction.
Many people in Randaberg also know him from the soccer field. With a total of 317 first-team matches for Randaberg Fotball, he ranks high on the club’s all-time list. Today, he continues to contribute as a coach for both the G15 and J13 teams.
Experience, dedication, and team spirit are qualities we value highly, both in soccer and in the workplace.

Masoneilan PXR™: A new control valve that combines performance and reliability
Baker Hughes has launched the new Masoneilan PXR™ Single Seated Globe Valve, a modern control valve designed to deliver high performance, easy maintainability, and reliable control across a wide range of process applications. The valve is designed for standard industrial processes where operational reliability, precision, and cost-effectiveness are critical. According to Baker Hughes, the PXR series is available in sizes ranging from ½” to 6″, in ASME Class 150 and 300, and in several material options, including carbon steel, stainless steel, Hastelloy, and Monel.
Designed for modern processing plants
The Masoneilan PXR is designed to provide greater capacity per valve size through optimized valve bodies and plug profiles. Advanced casting techniques also contribute to reduced material consumption and a more efficient design.
The valve features an unbalanced, stem- and disc-driven trim design that provides excellent plug support and stable control even under demanding process conditions. Interchangeable trim options make it possible to adapt the valve to various applications and operating requirements.
Tighter shut-off and easier maintenance
The PXR comes with a threaded seat and a design that eliminates the need for balancing seals or pilot plugs to achieve a tight shut-off. The valve meets ANSI/FCI 70-2 Class IV or V leakage requirements as standard. This provides enhanced process control, reduced maintenance requirements, and high operational reliability.
Ready for Digitalization
The valve is available with several of Masoneilan’s well-known positioning units, including the SVi1000, SVI II AP, and SVI3. This makes it possible to select the appropriate level of diagnostics and digital monitoring, ranging from basic control to advanced solutions featuring predictive maintenance and online valve analysis.

Håland Instrumentering enters partnership with Droptech
Håland Instrumentering AS is pleased to announce a partnership with Droptech AS. Effective March 1, 2026, Håland Instrumentering will be the authorized sales, distribution and service channel for Droptech’s products in Norway – both onshore and offshore.
Håland Instrumentering is an established and recognized supplier of instrumentation, valves and fire & gas detection, based in Randaberg outside Stavanger. The company has solid experience from deliveries to both offshore installations and land-based facilities, is JQS-registered as a qualified supplier and certified through Norwegian accreditation schemes. Its references include a number of major installations on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Through the partnership, Håland Instrumentering will also introduce Droptech’s new Modular All-In-One solutionto the Norwegian market. The solution combines the DT1 valve, actuator and Rheonik Coriolis flow meter in one integrated unit. All-In-One is the industry’s most compact chemical injection package in terms of physical footprint and is designed to integrate directly into existing infrastructure – without the need for costly redesigns.
The modular design is optimized for efficient maintenance, where each component can be accessed, serviced or replaced individually without dismantling the entire unit.

New hire - Key Account Manager
We welcome Ole Martin Sande to Håland Instrumentering!
Ole Martin started with us on August 1 as Key Account Manager, and we are pleased to have an experienced and committed resource on the team.
Ole Martin is from Randaberg and thinks it’s great to be working in his home municipality again. He lives in Julabygda in Sandnes, is married and has three children. In his spare time, his focus is on family and friends, and he is also very active in the ice hockey community in the region. Among other things, he is the leader of the Stavanger Oilers supporters’ club, Roughnecks, where he is also responsible for the supporters’ club’s own ice hockey team.

Momentum Group acquires Håland Instrumentering -
establishes position in Norway
Momentum Group has today, 3rd of April 2025 signed an agreement to acquire 70 percent of the shares in
Håland Instrumentering AS, a leading supplier of solutions within valves, field instrumentation,
and fire and gas detection to customers in the energy and engineering sectors in Norway.
Håland Instrumentering will be part of the Flow Technology business unit within the
Infrastructure business area.
"This acquisition further strengthens our position within valves - an area where we already have a
strong presence in the Swedish market. At the same time, we are gaining new expertise in field in-
strumentation and fire and gas detection, and establishing a presence in these areas in Norway.
Håland Instrumentering has a clear focus on the process industry and delivers solutions that im-
prove operations, reduce lifecycle costs, and extend the lifespan of existing facilities, particularly in
the oil and gas sectors. In addition, they offer solutions within green technology, such as carbon
capture, which is one of several areas where we see growth potential going forward," says Martin
