Location: North SeaPeriod: 2018 – 2019Customer: TechnipFMC, Kongsberg Application: Subsea trunnion mounted ball valve As oil and gas becomes more difficult to extract from great depths and wells with high temperatures, a well-functioning product over time is particularly important.
We have in-house development facilities at Håland Instrumentering, and our subsea valves undergo full PRS temperature and hyperbaric testing for lifecycle performance equivalent to up to 10,000 feet.
The components in the valve are subjected to full hardness testing according to ASTM E10 and E18, and all valves undergo full factory acceptance testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic) and are flushed according to SAE AS4059 Class 6-BF (ISO 4406) as a minimum before API6A-PSL 3G/NACE MR01-75/ASME VIII DIV2.
