Senscient, now part of the worldwide safety equipment manufacturer MSA, was founded in 2004 by Mr. Lee Richman.

With the improved laser technology that Senscient has developed and uses on its new laser line gas detectors, called ^ELDSTM (Enhanced Laser Diode Spectroscopy) combined with Senscient’s patented ^SimuGasTM test function, we get a very stable detector with a very high availability.

Senscient ^ELDSTM laser line gas detectors detect a wide range of toxic and flammable gases down to the PPM level.

In addition, it can also be delivered in a combined unit that detects both methane and H2S.

Senscient laser

The Senscient laser line gas detector can withstand up to 95% visibility reduction without going into error!

Supplied with robust 316L enclosure with 4-20mA & HART output to the control system. The laser detector detects gas at distances from 0.5 to 200 meters.

Senscient ELDS

Senscient ^ELDSTM Cross Duct can detect flammable gases at distances from 0.5 m to 5 m. The detectors are highly sensitive and can have a target range of 0-10% LEL with a response time of 1 second (T90=1second).

In addition, Senscient has created a model called Ventilation Zone, which has the same good properties as the Cross Duct model, but the Ventilation Zone model can be mounted in open areas in front of air ducts or larger doors into safe areas.
